I've gone back into an old haskell utility that I wrote a while back using haskell stack, however it complains bitterly because it can't find the exact version of ghc in my nixos... How do I find out what's the latest lts for stack in nixos?

(I recently updated my system to 19.09 - fixed a lot of issues - mainly with Qt apps - but it broke my haskell projects)

arahael: pinning can prevent certain things from breaking by "pinning" them to a specific version

evanjs: Wouldn't i have to pin the entire channel?

evanjs: stack still works fine, but it uses the channel to locate the required ghc, for instance, only the ghc doesn't exist in the current channel.

It is a bit disconcerting that I can't see to rely on using the same LTS releases for a while - so I'll probably end up doing something like what evanjs suggested with that #4539

I saw some nixpkgs PR template changes mentioned a few days ago but I can’t recall where. Something like “OfBorg does some of this anyway so there are a few things that can definitely be removed”. Any idea where this was mentioned?
