<gchristensen> elvishjerricco: are you using a version from the last ~4 days, and are you using nix-indent-line?
<elvishjerricco> gchristensen: I am using a new version. Didn't know I needed to use nix-indent-like manually. Is it not the default for nix-mode?
<gchristensen> it is not
<{^_^}> nix-mode#57 (by shlevy, 7 weeks ago, open): nix-indent-line as default nix-indent-function
<ivan> nixos is working on my x86 scaleways https://gist.github.com/ivan/f525cc4f8f858ed1a0b210f6fd6693c5

<elvishjerricco> gchristensen: TIL, thanks. Now to figure out how to use that. Emacs lisp is a dark art to me :P
<gchristensen> I think (setq nix-indent-function 'nix-indent-line)
<sphalerite> yay I have heating automation which I can talk to using bash and nc
<sphalerite> not that it's much fun
<sphalerite> but it's the possibility that counts

<sphalerite> oh oops, I remembered wrong then

<pie_> "it would be nice" if we had something for converting lines like
<pie_> sudo apt-get install git build-essential libgtk-3-dev libcairo2-dev libappindicator3-dev libgee-0.8-dev libxml2-dev libxtst-dev libgnome-menu-3-dev valac cmake libwnck-3-dev libarchive-dev libbamf3-dev bamfdaemon
<ottidmes> pie_: yeah I have been thinking about that too, same for the Arch Linux packages
<pie_> the OberPackageMeister
<pie_> ottidmes, that might even be relatively easy to do with a database of files that packages contain
<pie_> and do somewhat fuzzy matching
<pie_> like "90% likeley that this package implies tis other package in this other package manager" or something
<ottidmes> I was thinking that too, but you would have to restrict it to the major things included, there might be subtle differences with what they contain
<pie_> i dont know what you're thinking, but yeah probably i guess
<ottidmes> right, and give things in bin higher prio for likiness than like /share
