gchristensen: so their cars ahve websocket clients and the web frontend was set to send key state ever 100 ms, and on the robot side, it would send the rpi would get a websocket key event, then tell the hardware what motors to activate, then it would sleep for about 65ms. What owuld happen is that the car -would- go forward, but it would make these little stuttering mini wheelies as it went. What was

happening is that the websocket interval was a) way too high and b) not synced with the sleep period on the rpi. so bringing it down to 10ms and making sure the rpi value was similar the controls are silky smooth now

jasongrossman: Yea, and I guess in the presence of snapshots of the old file, you simply can't get around the possibility of having too little space to delete the file

No dice on booting windows installer in that VM yet. I get a black screen and a message in the QEMU console like "failed to mmap ... BAR 1. Performance may be slower" or something like that

So I'm not sure if that message is a red herring or not. It kinda sounds like the ROM isn't right or something, but I dunno.

If I give it a serial console, that works fine for OVMF. But OVMF won't show up if I just give it the GPU

elvishjerricco: You could protect yourself somewhat by setting a quota, which you then bump if you need to delete a file to free up space. That still requires intervention though.
