So last week I think I finally managed to sort out the few final bits for the new CDN deployment for cache.nixos.org, and all the major hurdles are now fixed -- now all that's left is some Terraform work!

gchristensen: It'd be nice to do another sync up sometime (and maybe try to record it!) so we can figure out the remaining timeline, what we'll need to coordinate, etc.

There are some numbers that are actually obvious (but surprising!) to me. For example, over the past week, the beta cache has a ratio of 80/20 for 200s vs 404s respectively! I figured this split would be much more even
<thoughtpolice>
But it's not surprising: since Hydra only pushes to https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs-channels & elsewhere on a successful push after the copy, it's very likely most clients will get a successful hit when they do some channel update.

Another is that ~64% of all users who made requests are already on Nix 2.3.1 (and if you include Nix 2.3.0, that goes up to ~77%)

(Of course I can't check anything beyond UAs so I do not know how many individual people that represents. Could just be one person!)

I suppose I could break it down by AS/Geography too.
