Hi guys. I have such classic problem, but despite that i can't solve this problem. Http error 200 from cache.nixos.org when trying nixos-rebuild switch. I've try disable ipv6, use --keep-going and use substitute false advise from nix.dev. But I've noticed that it depends with fact that i can not access to cache.nixos.org via traceroute.

bqv: and this error is happening near the end, but got truncated, `strace -s 200 -ff -o logfiles ...` will not truncate it

Has anyone seen `error 9 while decompressing xz file` and `HTTP error 200 (curl error: Error in the HHTP2 framing layer): retrying from offset ...` recently? I am seeing it on the most recent nixos-minimal ISO directly from Hydra using the the most recent `pkgs.nixUnstable` from nixpkgs-unstable. I tried applying all workarounds from the Aug'19 torrent of bug reports

How to fix this error, not working nixos-rebuild. warning: unable to download 'https://cache.nixos.org... Unsupported protocol / Timeout was reached / HTTP error 200
<ben_>
I'm getting errors from nix-env --timeout 0 -u like `warning: unable to download ''https://cache.nixos.org/nar/...nar.xz': HTTP error 200 (curl error: Timeout was reached); retrying in 282 ms`. Is there a way to disable these timeouts? My internet is slow.`

HTTP error 200 (curl error: Timeout was reached); retrying in 352 ms
<thedavidmeister>
200 isn't an error though

i'm getting timeout "error 200" on nixos-rebuild

I keep getting "HTTP error 200 (curl error: Timeout was reached)" while running `nix run`, so I have to constantly restart it until it succeeds at finishing the download from the cache.nixos.org.

that's when I try to use rustc from the mozilla overlay. when I don't, it just spits out ~200 errors about things not being in scope when compiling serenity, which I guess is because rustc is older? I don't know.

I am getting "HTTP error 200 (curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer) error 7 while decompressing xz file" from cachix.org. anyone ?

<gyroninja___>
Yep the "HTTP error 200 (curl error: Timeout was reached)" happens after exactly 5 minutes

How do I avoid getting 200 errors when copying from cache.nixos.org?

Hi, since about a week I get a lot of 'HTTP error 200 (curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer)' errors during a system rebuild. I am on the unstable channel. Is this some known issue?

I didn't remember there being HTTP error 200, which just sounds odd

Sorry it's me again. I'm trying to upgrade to 19.03, but I keep getting the `warning: unable to download 'https://cache.nixos.org/nar/081lj4pfdlkv51h1f1phd38l466rk5afkf4n66377pvr00ibhnb6.nar.xz': HTTP error 200 (curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer)` error. It usually works itsel when I retry. But this time it won't go away. When I reach the URL by hand it works. So is there a way I can solve this?

I'm getting some "HTTP error 200 (curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer)"

I think it's "error 200" one, where weirdly it's sent something and it seems to be incomplete

Finally updating an 18.03 device (hasn't been powered on for a year) to 18.09... lots of HTTP 200 "errors" where only partial data was transmitted :/

Wait, error 200?

Does anyone else get semi-regular "HTTP error 200 (curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer); retrying in 339 ms" errors when using Nix over IPv6?

Hey guys. I have a NixOS server which has curl 7.64 installed but which consistently throws errors while downloading from cache.nixos.org during nixos-rebuild. When I run curl manually I get the same error (HTTP error 200 (curl error: Stream error in the HTTP/2 framing layer)) but when I run curl with --http1.1 or when I use wget, everything works fine
<DrLambda>
When trying to upgrade nixos I get "HTTP error 200 (curl error: Stream error in the HTTP/2 framing layer);" is there maybe a way to use http/1 instead?

When updating, I get a failure with some messages: HTTP error 200 (curl error: Transferred a partial file);

tilpner: Thanks for checking, I just clicked the link im my terminal and it screwed up the URL, so I'm getting a 200 OK now, too. But nix is still unable to decompress the file, as the error message suggests:
<duairc>
Does anyone ever get intermittent errors like HTTP error 200 (curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer); retrying in 285 ms when using Nix?
<nschoe>
I find this "HTTP error 200" weird. 200 is supposed to be OK

Hi everyone, when I'm trying `nixos-rebuild build` or `nix build` on some other derivation, I get a lot of `warning: unable to download 'https://cache.nixos.org/nar/1y8az0y...nar.xz: HTTP error 200 (curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer);`

sphalerite_: How do I override an option that was defined in a previous file that I imported? For example, say I have `fonts.fontconfig.dpi = 96` in a base.nix file and I want to set it to 200 for 1 machine that imports base.nix. Normally this results in an error telling me the option is duplicated. Is there a way to solve this?

niksnut: might be easier to sort out here: I'm running a real system on 1.12 and I'm seeing nix-channel barf and die on "HTTP error 200 (curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer)" without retrying
