<colemickens> alexarice: doing it right now
<colemickens> okay, xdg.portal.{enable,gtkUsePortal} are set to true.
<colemickens> xdg.portals.extraPortals contains HEAD of xdp-wlr and xdp-gtk
<colemickens> bluetoothctl
<colemickens> It does seem like it picked HHU HSP/HFP...
<colemickens> and ... it seems to ignore it when I try to change it.
<colemickens> bleck.
<colemickens> I wonder if it's a similar issue... ?
<colemickens> (as the fonts that is )
<colemickens> This is gross, I don't even know how to debug this really.
<colemickens> Or why activating portals would be involved here?

<nicolas[m]1> maybe it's related to pipewire?

<evanjs> tried enabling delta, but getting "fatal: mismatched output from interactive.diffFilter" with `git ... -p` as mentioned here https://github.com/dandavison/delta/issues/205#issuecomment-636035842
<evanjs> I notice it sets the diffFilter already; the comment also mentions that "delta --color-only" works... though I'm not seeing that with `git commit -p` on my end :P

<evanjs> ahhhh
<evanjs> side-by-side kills it
<colemickens> nicolas: that's sort of where my head ended up at too. But all other pulsemixer/pavucontrol stuff works as expected? Or maybe pipewire libs are around, but missing BT support?
<nicolas[m]1> Yeah bluetooth has always been flakky
<nicolas[m]1> with headsets
<nicolas[m]1> especially around a2dp and hsp etc.

<alexarice[m]> colemickens: It works perfectly for me without pipewire, my guess is xdp portal somehow invokes pipewire

<c0c0> I’m having trouble setting up NixOS with i3 on a new machine. After booting, I see LightDM, but after typing in my credentials, I see “Failed to start session”. Here are my configuration.nix, hardware-configuration.nix and home.nix (they are absolutely minimal) and the X.0.log: https://gist.github.com/corsinpfister/70f0e7bff46e90345aab9305916d8646 Any help is appreciated
<c0c0> What's odd: If I remove the xsession configuration from home.nix and set `services.xserver.windowManager.i3.enable = true` in configuration.nix, it works. But i would like to configure it per-user

<colemickens> @alexarice same here. I might look at this today.
<alexarice[m]> colemickens: Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to test, unfortunately I really have no idea what could be causing the issue
