I know I need special permissions with ofborg to get it to build something, but do I need the same special permissions to `@grahamcofborg eval`?

flokli: We gotta change the default branch for nixos/systemd repo
<lovesegfault>
I was v. confused when I first opened it
<flokli>
lovesegfault: it's a mess :-)
<lovesegfault>
Yeah :P
<lovesegfault>
Do you have a listing of what the 27 patches are/do?
<flokli>
lovesegfault: well, they have commit messages. I still need to write down my notes
<flokli>
hope to get to that this weekend
<lovesegfault>
Sweet :)
<lovesegfault>
flokli: are you working on the networkd stuff too?
<flokli>
lovesegfault: what part of it?
<lovesegfault>
IIRC there was an effort to replace all ad-hoc shell scripted stuff with systemd-networkd
<lovesegfault>
I remember reading an issue
<flokli>
yeah, there was a meetup in munich
<flokli>
and we still need to finish wrapping that up /o\
<lovesegfault>
:D
<lovesegfault>
do you personally have useNetworkd = true?
<lovesegfault>
I'm thinking of enabling it to see how it goes
<NinjaTrappeur>
^ the flag is definitely missing though
<NinjaTrappeur>
While being present in the x86 flavor.
<NinjaTrappeur>
I'm really surprised nobody hit that in the past. Aarch64 is supposed to be rather common in the router landscape
<genesis>
perharps it's nix that's not so common :-)
<NinjaTrappeur>
true!
<samueldr>
the most likely reason is that it's set by default for x86_64, but not for aarch64, as we're relying on the kernel defaults, as a base, and then on top specify more things
<{^_^}>
#61602 (by MarSoft, 41 weeks ago, open): `ip rule` not working on ARM64, `sslh.transparent` broken
<samueldr>
NinjaTrappeur: in any cases, if you have doubts, I think we prefer having kernels with feature parity by default
<samueldr>
aarch64 should not be so foreign compared to x86_64 here
<genesis>
interesting case, it would be more easy to find bug if such kernel config option are unified across arch
<samueldr>
I would agree, if mainline kernel had a "universal_defconfig" it would likely be a better fit
<genesis>
at this hour, it remember me some albert camus sentence :'|
<genesis>
Each generation doubtless feels called upon to reform the world. Mine knows that it will not reform it, but its task is perhaps even greater. It consists in preventing the world from destroying itself.
<genesis>

<genesis>
if only people stops believe they are genious, perharps we could work together.
