I'm a fan of -Werror in CI, but no where else. You don't have control over other people's build / dev processes, so you can't be sure that you aren't triggering somewhat pedantic warnings.

It's harmful for giant projects like Android, where using a newer compiler makes the build error because it may well have different warnings

I would argue that undefined behaviour changing will most likely cause more issues than -Werror
