<LnL> samueldr: oh, I found some weird stuff about the bottom left lambda yesterday
<samueldr> there's one hidden under!
<samueldr> (you can try them all, I have deconstructed the svg many times!)
<LnL> 4 actually
<samueldr> well, there's the "print" copy
<samueldr> without shadows
<samueldr> (I think)
<LnL> and there's also a bunch of hidden stuff in the svg
<samueldr> yep, it's the source SVG and not an optimized ready-to-use svg
<samueldr> only thing lacking was the font data
<LnL> I have a cleaned up version if anybody is interested
<samueldr> were you planning something with the SVG?
<LnL> I lost the nix-darwin svg I made a while back so was recreating it
<samueldr> ah
<samueldr> when you say "cleaned-up" what do you mean (other than removing additional things)?
<samueldr> the lambdas aren't all "squared" (well, hexagoned)
<LnL> nothing, but it's 2kb instead of 26kb
<samueldr> saved as optimized svg?
<samueldr> (otherwise you still have the inkscape data around)
<LnL> not even optimised I think
<samueldr> and you kept which lambdas, print?
<flokli> https://jakearchibald.github.io/svgomg/ worked pretty well when I toyed around with it
<samueldr> yeah print
<LnL> does the other stuff have a purpose?
<samueldr> it's not in-your-face, but the logo has gradients near the non-overlps
<samueldr> overlaps*
<samueldr> and gradients are problematic in some print situations
roberth has quit [*.net *.split]
<LnL> that's what I thought first, but it was only for the bottom left one
<LnL> and the rest wasn't even in the canvas
<samueldr> they're supposed to be there
* samueldr opens the source file

<samueldr> wait ah, we're not talking about the same file I think!
<samueldr> I never saw *that one*
<samueldr> I only worked from the one with the text outlines!
<samueldr> oh, there's more surprises in that one
<LnL> oh, it's not the same?
<samueldr> it's cleaner at least
<samueldr> there are layers, and the gradients are properly overlaid
<samueldr> so uh no, I'm guessing you're taking a peek into timbertson's mind with that file :)
<samueldr> oh, it's not either `nix-snowflake.svg`
<samueldr> where did you fish up that one?
samueldr has quit [*.net *.split]
<LnL> it's the snowflake
samueldr has joined #nixcon
<LnL> I think
<samueldr> >:( irc server
<samueldr> so
<samueldr> [14:45:32] <samueldr> btw, I'm working from those here https://github.com/NixOS/nixos-artwork
<samueldr> (that was lost during the netsplit)
<samueldr> weird, there's nothing like what's in your screenshot on master?
<samueldr> so probably some other version :/
<LnL> nope
<LnL> it's in there
<LnL> ^ that's gray the hexagon
<LnL> the*
<samueldr> weird
<samueldr> ah, found it
<samueldr> must have been done outside inkscape, or something changed since then
<samueldr> it wouldn't show up unless using the XML Editor
<samueldr> (css display:none)
<samueldr> well, sorry for doubting!
<samueldr> (and I wonder if inkscape would have optimized it out)
<LnL> it's also in the nixos one
<samueldr> yeah, it'll have to go :)
<samueldr> and I thought I had it all figured out, too!
