uff, from what I understood from saturday, matthew won't be at nixcon, and it was not clear about whether you samueldr would have the time to take care of all the logo, swag etc. with 18.09 around the corner too - so I asked that friend yesterday on whether she might be able to help out - I didn't really expect she made a logo half an hour after that :-D
<flokli>
let's put that design on the card too if you like (it's using a vectorized version of big ben that might be more tshirt printing friendly)

hi adisbladis[m], just so you know, I'm convinced by the reviews of those AGPtEK cards, it's good if you also get an ezcap, so we have a backup option.
<goibhniu>
I didn't see it available on alibaba or sites like that, only on amazon
<goibhniu>
zimbatm: I'll send on the details, if that's cool to get it with the budget (~£75)

<zimbatm>
make sure to keep the receipt so I can expense the hardware
<zimbatm>
if there is a way for me to pay directly with a credit card it would be preferable
<goibhniu>
adisbladis[m]: I wouldn't mind splashing out a bit on cables, there's nothing worse than a dodgy cable messing things up

<adisbladis[m]>
goibhniu: Maybe next week then. I'll have time to go to Shenzhen
* goibhniu
will be away from tomorrow until monday, just so you know
<adisbladis[m]>
Ok
<zimbatm>
goibhniu: thanks, let me know if you want to order it yourself it's fine as well
<goibhniu>
cool, it's all the same to me ... will I order it, just so you don't have to worry about it?
<zimbatm>
ok
<goibhniu>
adisbladis[m]: BTW, we'll need an HDMI cable around 13m in length, which is about as long as you can reliably do with HDMI (IIUC), and an XLR cable of about 25m (just to be safe). Over here they cost around €25 each for reputable ones, e.g. cordial
<goibhniu>
maybe you could pick up some adapters too ... an active vga -> hdmi adapter would be handy
<goibhniu>
and mini DP, DP, DVI, micro HDMI, mini HDMI, USB-C, lightning -> hdmi ... would give us a good selection
