I'm thinking of switching over to using Home Manager as a NixOS submodule. Is there an easy migration path?
<benkolera>
There's a home-manager uninstall command that clears it out ready for the submodule, but I heard that the submodule does that automatically if it detects a standalone setup.

I can remember hitting some issues, but they were probably all pebcak. :)

Maybe there is something useful in my setup that can get you started. But maybe you also hate my preferences and it may be way more noise than signal. Ymmv. chiefgoat https://github.com/benkolera/nix

Can home-manager install mac .app's to /Applications, or ~/Applications?
<infinisil>
__monty__: I can't see any reason it shouldn't be able to, home.file should work for that
<infinisil>
Might be nice to have a module that puts all .app's from home.packages there though
<__monty__>
Maybe I can just map over that to find all the relevant sources?
<infinisil>
Yeah that should work
