<mkg20001> https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/99008 could someone review/merge this? (I've tested locally, cinnamon works like before with the changes)
<mkg20001> btw, upstream is also furious about this getting in asap: https://github.com/linuxmint/cjs/issues/80#issuecomment-700152014
<mkg20001> prob when everyone will use the patch they will switch to newer cjs... fedora already does

<jtojnar> worldofpeace I have not really reviewed the accounts service issue at all so I cannot say how serious it is
<jtojnar> I am not even sure if it is the same issue as the broken cache invalidation I investigated, though, it might be the case
<jtojnar> So even if I could attend, I do not think I would be much help

<worldofpeace> I see, while we can't tell how difficult it is as an issue, I believe a final release requirement for any desktop would be logout login along with the other basics.

<jtojnar> I winder how hard it be to patch out the cache, and how would the performabce be
<worldofpeace> I think the issue with the cache is only seen rarely. I should find the commit that references the issue in logind that causes the problem in accountsservice. But on my machine, the cache is fine so I think this is an issue unrelated to that
