i definitely was rebuilding nodes a few times today and they all use the same "known good" (or at least broken-in-same-way) nix so all good. Am hesistant to say it's too strict without a bit more consideration, although zomg nix-command is experimental ?! Madness! :P I mean it always said that was the case and was never considered enough to deprecate the old one, but ... are you trying to incite a riot?! :P:P

The really really sad thing is that I actually think I ran into this a year ago -- didn't check if it was on one of your experimental branches but I remember running into this before and being like "you deployed from an unannounced branch named experimental a fairly serious change... you have only your dtzWill self to blame. Which is why I was hyped to try it again, of course :D'
