<teto> I get a failure on ofborg "note: build failure may have been caused by lack of free disk space" https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/55305/checks?check_run_id=62018114 . Is it possible to fix it ?
<samueldr> it's the community machine, looking *what's* taking the space, and rebooting it
<samueldr> ah, users's homes and ofborg's transient data (~1.4GB per thing, 32 thing) are sharing the same tmpfs which is ram-bound instead of the pseudo-tmpfs on the storage, just noting in case gchristensen is interested
<samueldr> heh, the scratch space is only 6.4GB full while the main tmpfs is 63GB (thus full)
<samueldr> ah, I won't reboot
<samueldr> oh, yeah, I will, I thought the message was a wrong assumption, but no, the wrong assumption was on my end; the tmpfs being full (on /, thus /tmp) is what made nix print the note
<samueldr> the machine is rebooting, in a couple minutes (server hardware boot is fun) it'll be ready to try again

<srhb> Uh oh: https://hydra.nixos.org/build/88574941/nixlog/65 -- creating file '/nix/store/nqaj3rn64zb83h8i9xpmvx2yj8mi42f1-bash-interactive-4.4-p23/bin/bashbug': Too many open files
<Taneb> What could cause .drv files in the nix store being blanked?
<Taneb> Oh, I meant to ask this in #nixos
<srhb> For posterity (in case someone restarts the job) the above error happened on 54.175.190.67 while realizing store paths from the cache.

<e-user> I would like to get basic SELinux support into Nix and and submitted a PR for it. What's the right process from here except for waiting and hoping it gets picked up?
<srhb> e-user: Going through the git history and finding likely reviewer candidates to gently poke may be sensible. Otherwise yeah, waiting.
<e-user> srhb: Thanks, that sounds like a great idea.

<{^_^}> nixos-weekly#76 (by domenkozar, 4 days ago, open): Call for Content: 2019/03
<domenkozar> anyone has something for weekly?
<teto> domenkozar: when is it due ? I might have sthg tomorrow
<domenkozar> tomorrow
<teto> ok I might have 2 items for you next week but nothing for tomorrow :p
<domenkozar> ~10am UTC
<teto> domenkozar: if you are desperate for news, you could talk about the addition of lua.withPackages but it's still being polished (darwin issues etc)
<teto> (also it got an infra to generate packages from luarocks.org a la "hackage")
<etu> domenkozar: I moved a big bunch of packages that are hamradio/radio-related from misc to it's own directory... Not news worthy... but yeah...
<LnL> teto: darwin is good now, no?
<teto> LnL: thanks to you it should be but haven't checked if it reached nixos-unstable. I am still converting current packages to luarocks ones https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/55305
<{^_^}> #55305 (by teto, 6 days ago, open): Lua: moving some package to the luarocks whitelist

<thoughtpolice> Is there nobody just taking minutes or whatever already?
<gchristensen> there are, yeah

<thoughtpolice> TBH I'd much rather any effort spent be put on making the quality of note taking better if it's not good enough (maybe it already is!) Two reasons being A) there's nothing inherently more transparent about a video IMO and B) most video information is 'fluff' and notes are far more concise for the needed info
<gchristensen> +1
<thoughtpolice> Like I did weekly meetings back when I worked on GHC and -- it's weird, something like an hour is simultaneously very, VERY short to discuss really important matters -- but also if you listened to it, it would be maddeningly boring and mostly wasted time.
<gchristensen> +1 I do minutes for an org, and have to record it and then transcribe it later
<gchristensen> (for hand problem reasons, not meeting requirements)
<thoughtpolice> Yeah, IMO that's what I should have done (I would normally do the writeup after but we had less people so I often let it fall behind)
<thoughtpolice> And had 10,000 other responsibilities ofc
<gchristensen> of course
<thoughtpolice> Also I hope your hand is doing ok on that note (make someone else do it :P)

<matthewbauer[m]> Is anyone available to review https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/45670 ?
<{^_^}> #45670 (by johanot, 24 weeks ago, open): nixos/kubernetes: Module refactor
<matthewbauer[m]> It looks okay to me but I am not familiar with kubernetes enough
drakonis has joined #nixos-dev
<tilpner> gchristensen: I've done the closure lists part, but in practice it still needs manual correction
<gchristensen> oh?
<fpletz> matthewbauer[m]: we're currently looking at it
<fpletz> unfortunately some things like coredns are weirdly broken and the test doesn't catch that
<fpletz> I've already fixed and merged the PR on which that one depends
<fpletz> oh, new comments... unfortunately understanding kubernetes with prior knowledge at this level is a bit challenging :)
asymmetric has quit [Quit: Leaving]
