<infinisil>
Hmm.. Should I book the super cheap flight back from London, but it's at 7:45am in the morning :/
<andi->
I value a good night of sleep ;-)
<andi->
especially after events
<infinisil>
Yeah, me too, and I'm not even sure if I could get up this early, I might just oversleep
<andi->
I am always so concerned with early flights that I end up not sleeping at all..
<andi->
if the flight is at 6am I might just stay awake and sleep in the airplane
<infinisil>
Yeah
<andi->
There is times of the year where I can do that.. usually the spring months. Not sure why that is. Maybe because of the early sunrise that wakes me up?
<infinisil>
The price for that one is $98. The next best one in the afternoon (1pm) is $189 :/
<andi->
where are you going to?
<infinisil>
London? xD
<infinisil>
Coming from Switzerland
<andi->
I meant the return trip
<andi->
ah
<andi->
isn't it all very cheap for you anyway? :P
<infinisil>
Hehe, well I don't really have a good understanding of what's cheap and what isn't, because I don't need much money all year around anyways
<infinisil>
But yeah, I currently don't struggle with too little money, so I might just go for the more expensive one just so I can sleep out
<andi->
The fun fact for my flights from frankfurt is: They are 70€ then comes taxes and what not (another 98€) and somehow it ends up at 326€ for two people (both ways)
<infinisil>
Ugh
<andi->
Considering it is an actual aircraft flying there 81€ are cheap. I usually hate flights for the reasons of environmental effects and because I do not really fit the legroom
<infinisil>
Only your legs are supposed to fit in the legroom, not all of you!
<andi->
AHH
<andi->
why did nobody ever tell me?!
<infinisil>
:D
<andi->
I booked the emergency exit seats this time.. lets hope I will get them for real this flight
* infinisil
hopes for andi-
<infinisil>
Hmm.. there's also a flight for 6pm
<infinisil>
Lol, looking for a Hotel in London when I see this
<infinisil>
"reasons to choose Point A Hotel London Westminster: The staff speak English"
* andi-
is a bit worried about his quarters now..
<samueldr>
infinisil: I find this name funny, "point a hotel" *points the hotel*
<andi->
samueldr: I would complain if you do not any UK service during that flight! :D
<samueldr>
I'm sure I won't get 74.82 of UK service :/
<andi->
I like the airport improvement charge..
<samueldr>
for years they increase fares only by tacking other stuff on... which kinda defeats the purpose of having a base fare?
<samueldr>
though, some are earmarked amounts
<andi->
100$ for picking a seat?
<samueldr>
I know, right?
<samueldr>
it's pricier if you take those with more leg room
<andi->
thats robbery
<samueldr>
or you can not choose, and then be given one of the leftover seats on the day of the flight
<andi->
When I went to iceland earlier this year I booked extra leg room which move my ticket to a very specific seat & row.. On the flight back they changed the airplane last minute... guess what they didn't adjust? -.-
<andi->
samueldr: how long in advance did you book the flight?
<samueldr>
august 21st
<samueldr>
the trouble here is every time I've been in a situation where "it could be cheaper", it never got cheaper, and always went hundreds more!
<andi->
:/
<samueldr>
looks like the price is still the same on google flights (so 99% sure it's the same now than a month ago)
<andi->
I am happy that flights aren't dirt cheap otherwise more idiots would fly around all day... on the other hand it makes things like NixCon harder on people with tight budgets
<samueldr>
at least, every time I checked since buying it's been the same exact price
<andi->
s/hand/side/g
<andi->
samueldr: they know it is you!
<andi->
samueldr: THEY ARE LYING!!
<samueldr>
they could, though skyscanner too, and I'm 99% sure in that case there's no tinfoil-hattery to go by :)
<infinisil>
Ah yes, that's very much what I'd like to see when booking a hotel: "504 Gateway Time-outThe server didn't respond in time. "
