we're hoping to put it in production ASAP, just a few minor things to work out in the kernel

what's awesome about nixos is that it really saves the time, so that we can focus on patching the stuff and communicating with upstream

time spent on figuring out how to integrate specific changes & patches into specific packages == otherdistros/3

it's on staging on a single node, running about 90 containers now

production nodes still run openvz on top of RHEL6 kernel... meh bleh

to be able to switch we need to reach 1:1 feature parity at least

so it's quite possible we'll need more than increasing the maximum amount of cgroups you can create on current kernels, I think there will be some work around faking the kernel version too

some new cgroup controllers/namespaces probably will come out of that stuff later on

we still have a lot of work to do, especially on the QA side, we need to run full suite of tests on a broad range of distros * versions

that's where it would be awesome to attract some new contributors...
