LnL: I'm using nix-darwin and for some reason new GHC versions never seem to show up for me. Any idea how to fix this?
<
mightybyte>
I've done "nix-channel --update darwin", but that doesn't help.
<
mightybyte>
Just now I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't help either.
<
mightybyte>
I'm also still getting "warning: unknown setting 'signed-binary-caches'" messages.
<
LnL>
the darwin channel determines the modules not package versions
<
LnL>
what's the output of nix-instantiate --eval '<nixpkgs>' -A lib.version
<
mightybyte>
warning: unknown setting 'signed-binary-caches'
<
mightybyte>
error: attribute 'version' in selection path 'lib.version' not found

Oops, sorry for the double paste.
<
LnL>
ah, wat about nix-instantiate --eval '<nixpkgs>' -A lib.nixpkgsVersion
* LnL
is not a fan of renaming stuff like that without a
_very_ good reason
<
clever>
version is the new name, but i believe nixpkgsVersion still works
<
clever>
but yeah, its anoying, because you must give the old name in all directions, or the above happens
<
LnL>
I know but I picked the wrong one aparently
<
LnL>
btw, who is going to nixcon? I have stickers for people that want some :)
* gchristensen
raises hand
<
LnL>
are you in europe already?
<
gchristensen>
I leave Monday
<
gchristensen>
and I get in to London 07:05 Tuesday
<
LnL>
cool, I'll arrive around noon Wednesday
<
gchristensen>
awesome, when do you get in?
<
gchristensen>
where are you staying?
<
gchristensen>
I'll be at Holiday Inn Southwark

Huh. nix-darwin's /run/current-system is vanishing on mojave.
