i just started with home manager and am wondering where declared configuration gets placed. for example, i put my vimrc into programs.vim.extraConfig, but i don't see a ~/.vimrc after "home-manager switch"

c0c0: That means, you can probably do `cat $(which vim)` to see how it's launched. Although I'm not 100% on that

I am having a weird case with home-manager failing to install after I reinstalled my system and copied over the old home dir. It fails while reloading with some systemd/dbus error: The name ca.desrt.dconf was not provided by any .service files Any idea?

I managed to ativate my profile by commenting out those lines in the activation script so I could get through the work day but now that isn't really a longerm solution
