<gchristensen> sigh, finally looked in to why my network is slower than it should be, and I've got a mess of cat5 where I thought I had cat6
<cransom> are they long runs? or were you expecting 10g in parts
<gchristensen> not cat5e, actually cat5
<gchristensen> I'm getting 90.8 Mbits/sec transfers
<andi-> in some countries that is considered broadband access..
<gchristensen> this is inside my network

<mdlayher> reminds me of when i realized the UPS I had surge protecting my WAN was only 100Mb
<mdlayher> i was paying for what i thought was the 100Mb plan but they bumped me up to 300Mb and i didn't find out until later
<gchristensen> wow!
<mdlayher> yeahhhh. ended up replacing that UPS with one that can surge protect at 1Gb ha
