I think I'm also having issues since I'm trying to do something with the mainline dts while every ressource online seems to assume you'll end up using the raspberry pi kernel

first part of the context is that I don't know what I'm doing so it's hard to exactly ascertain why it fails

then, trying to make a dtbo for a particular hardware bit, and when loading it fails due to inscrutable errors which I don't know for sure if it's because of the dtbo, the mainline kernel device tree, or the way I'm loading them
