IN retrospect I liked having sound independent of the camera.

Also I tried to stop/start the streaming and the recording after/before each of the talks in the Discovery track. That seemed to help with growing CPU load and growing latency. I did that as well on day2 when I was operating the recordings of the main track.

I had a few conversations and watched some voctomix talk where they were saying exactly that. Delay will grow over time and it will be absurd. Restarting the pipelines seems to be like the only option for now.

also you should capture audio & video in seperate processes as otherwise video delay could cause audio to also be delayed etc.. You do not want each of the inputs to wait for each other. You want to drop them if they are too delayed and skip to the next available frame that arrives on time.
