I am rebuilding many R packages on darwin. Two problems arise that affect many packages. The first is opengl. A good example is rPackages.rgl.

Are there examples of packages that rely on opengl that work on darwin. It would be good to have an example of success to model a fix on.

The other examples want R to find java on install and runtime. rPackages.rJava is the best example. The java situation on darwin is confusing, to say the least. Does anyone or any package have good approach?
