hey - i'm moving my system config over to home-manager, and i have an issue with mpd. whenever i try to change my volume or whatever, it throws a "no mixer" message
<kaletaa>
i didn't really touch my pulse settings
<kaletaa>
and my mpd config in my home.nix only sets the data and music dirs

`/Users/siraben/.nix-profile/bin/home-manager: line 71: NIX_PATH: unbound variable` on macOS, how do I resolve this?

lunik1: what I do for my configuration, is that instead of only importing some modules for some hosts, I import all of them for every host.
<ambroisie>
So everything is available to everyone
<ambroisie>
However some stuff is gated behind options, so that e.g: I can enable bluetooth on my laptop but not my server
<ambroisie>
That way, for my status bar, I can just look up if my option for bluetooth is true or not, and add the module when it is
<kaletaa>
rebuilding nixos didn't help with my missing binaries and stuff
<lunik1>
ambroisie: yeah I think that might be a better way
<ambroisie>
lunik1: probably, it avoids the dreaded "import hell"
<lunik1>
it's how nixphs is structured, as I understand it
<lunik1>
*nixpkgs

If you want an example of a system config, here are my dot-files: gitea.belanyi.fr/ambroisie/nix-config

thanks!

You're welcome :-)

Has anyone tried to use tridactyl-native with firefox on home-manager?
<{^_^}>
nix-community/home-manager#1586 (by poscat0x04, 23 weeks ago, open): Plasma browser integration extension does not work with the firefox installed by home-manager
<ambroisie>
However as I mentionned in this issue, tridactyl does not seem to be detecting the native messenger this way...
