Probably the module should be updated to allow for a lua init or to disable the generation of init.vim at least.
<SumnerEvans[m]>
I definitely am against deprecating the `init.vim` format until it's deprecated by Neovim, but providing options for using the Lua config makes sense.
<lunik1>
if it's ever deprecated by neovim
<__monty__>
That'd be a sad day. Being able to share configurations is great. Not to mention all the examples online that would be lost.
<SumnerEvans[m]>
Good point, I doubt that will ever happen tbh. I doubt they will want to diverge so much from vim that they don't even use the same config format.
<__monty__>
When I said disable I meant not generate an init.vim, not that the module shouldn't support it anymore. It's just that maybe it's too hard to generate configurations in a bunch of languages.
<SumnerEvans[m]>
I think that would be a fairly major refactor. As of right now, Home Manager relies on the `neovimUtils` from nixpkgs to write the config file.

Yeah, hence the option to just disable generating a config.
