I noticed that the "gettting started guide" that was redone for the Flakes PR (https://github.com/input-output-hk/haskell.nix/pull/972/files) mentions that you should use the hydra.iohk.io binary cache for haskell.nix projects. We're using (and have been for months) https://iohk.cachix.org/

13:30 <michaelpj> as ever, rule 1 is that you should never find yourself building GHC :D

13:53 <__monty__> dhess You don't technically have to switch but you should add the hydra cache : )

14:02 <dhess> We have a Hydra that builds pinned versions of haskell.nix, so we weren't building GHC on dev machines anyway :) But other libs were missing the cache a lot, or so it seemed.
