<nixoswikibot> [[NixOS on ARM]] https://nixos.wiki/index.php?diff=2924&oldid=2884&rcid=2980 * Mic92 * (+251) adding links to the installer
<Mic92> makefu: ^
<makefu> thx!
<nixoswikibot> [[NixOS on ARM]] https://nixos.wiki/index.php?diff=2925&oldid=2924&rcid=2981 * Mic92 * (+94) Getting the installer - clarification
<nixoswikibot> [[NixOS on ARM]] M https://nixos.wiki/index.php?diff=2926&oldid=2925&rcid=2982 * Samueldr * (+10) /* Getting the installer */ Don't forget ARMv7 devices
<samueldr> I sure want to rework the whole page to (1) move some parts in sub-sections (2) add details about the different boot types, e.g. u-boot generic distro, UEFI with ebbr
<samueldr> the dream would be to template the installation instructions so each board can re-use the generic instructions text in their own page, instead of linking to generic instructions
<gchristensen> +1
<makefu> +5
<makefu> right now i have my rk3399 board in my backpack. it seems to be the case that i will need to use the rockchip update tool to install my own image into the "image" partition of the emmc chip
<makefu> i really hope that i do not need to touch uboot (or the miniloader and the trusted boot image ...)
<samueldr> makefu: hit me for infos, the board that's in the mail is probably pretty similar
<samueldr> libre.computer made sure theirs would boot uefi images
<samueldr> so you maybe can
<makefu> neat!
<samueldr> though they do not have the source code yeat :/
<samueldr> which is a bit worrying
<samueldr> firefly's repos for u-boot hasn't been updated for a while
<makefu> i already collected a lot of info about uboot and such
<samueldr> I'll be pestering libre.computer more for those bits once I receive the board
<makefu> :D
<makefu> your board should be http://wiki.t-firefly.com/en/firefly-rk3399
<makefu> wupps, not the japanese thing haha
<makefu> *chinese
<samueldr> was about to say :)
<samueldr> nah, it's not that one, it's another one, but really close in design
<makefu> ah yeah
<makefu> that one
<samueldr> main advantage of the libre.computer one should be their case, it's a big aluminium chunk
<makefu> neat
<samueldr> hm, the firefly wiki page, has links to more stuff than the libre.computer page
<makefu> yeah, the wiki page is quite well filled
<makefu> and they have a couple of other boards with even more documentation. and because the boards are all quite similar the docu can be reused
<samueldr> main issue now is the sources :/
