<hexa-> systemd 248 in 20.05 or later?
<andi-> I fear the "freeze" RFC will not accept that..
<andi-> (for no good reason IMHO)
<Mic92> I joined to the shepherd team because I am also not super convinced of the RFC in its current form.
<andi-> If the community consensus is that systemd should be frozen for a (single) ZHF that is fine. I dislike that we are calling out packages in the RFC. Those should be abstract from the packages we are handling.
<Mic92> I have to admit that systemd packages in the past often were a hassel for release maintainers
<Mic92> I just remember what fpletz said
Mic92 has quit [Quit: WeeChat 3.0.1]
Mic92 has joined #nixos-systemd
<andi-> What did he say?
<Mic92> Blockers often come from systemd/udev.
<andi-> I wonder if systemd itself was being blocked as upgrading it was a goal of if it blocked other things. If the latter what those were and the errors we've seen back then.
<andi-> Most other distros seem to be doing fine with shipping newer systemd (e.g. Arch)
<Mic92> Well Lennart uses archlinux as a testbed for systemd... Also we are using systemd different.
