<c00w> Anyone know how to get whitelisted to talk to the github bot?
<cole-h> What bot? borg?
<c00w> Yeah - @ofborg
<cole-h> Anybody can `@ofborg`. The reason it doesn't show up in autocomplete is because it's (currently) an organization, and not a user.
<c00w> Oh.... I had no idea, I thought it was whitelisted.
<c00w> Is there a way to tell it - all impacted packages?
<cole-h> The only "whitelisting" going on is for darwin builds
<c00w> rebuild all impacted packages*
<cole-h> Ouch, you want borg to rebuild 501+ packages?
<cole-h> Either way, that currently is not possible.
<cole-h> People have talked about having nixpkgs-review run on every PR, but I don't know of any work in that direction (or even whether we would accept that to ofborg -- the machines get abused enough as-is)
<c00w> I think I chatted about how to donate computing power, and was redirected to "we'll just whitelist you for the bot use it", and then I wandered away without getting the whitelist.
<cole-h> I guess history *is* doomed to repeat itself -- I remember hearing about how that's how borg was run a while back :P
<c00w> Lol. Well I guess I'll go get all my aarch64 machines set up, then run rogue @ofborg to see how scaleable building everything is.
<c00w> I bet I'm going to run into the same file -> attribute mapping issue I've hit with my other scripts.
<c00w> Good incentive to solve it though.
<emily> huh, atting @ofborg works?
<emily> I've always done @GrahamcOfBorg
<emily> which does complete
<qyliss> I think it might be new
<cole-h> Relatively
<cole-h> @GrahamcOfBorg works, but after ofborg#482, it won't be advertised

<cole-h> OK, not that relatively -- 11 months old lol https://github.com/NixOS/ofborg/commit/2c8e1fa4a24bb8ac8fdfdc85ab10521561069656

<abathur> cole-h: That was one of my guesses. I agree; bad for a script have the ability to add/rm users. But a cron job/bot that tracks, notifies, cancels/aborts on response, *and also bugs one or a group of humans to close the loop whenever there's there's someone to remove at the determined interval*...

<Mic92> JJJollyjim: yes. in nix sandboxes we have the issue that bind mounted /nix/store paths are owned by nobody (uid=65534), which is an invalid UID. Our username space only maps the build user into the environment

<Gaelan> Ok, so I'm working on making #21471 happen. It's an stdenv rebuild which will probably break a lot of stuff, so I think it's the sort of thing that should happen on its own hydra job before being merged into staging? Does that seem right, and if so, how do I go about making that happen?
