greetings!
<LnL>
hey, how are you doing?
<copumpkin>
fine, in Florida right now at my gf's parents' house :) I see lots going on but I've barely been at my computer at all in the past few days
<LnL>
ah that's why you've been so quite
<LnL>
who's going to make all of those issues how?
<copumpkin>
:D
<LnL>
that reminds me, we should try to fix sandboxing

niksnut: if I set my NIX_REMOTE to an s3:// store, will it build stuff locally but not put it in /nix/store, and instead just upload straight to S3?
<copumpkin>
or is s3:// only supposed to be used for substitutes, not for builds?
<LnL>
that's what hydra uses for the cache
<LnL>
and from how I understand it paths won't end up in the local store first
<copumpkin>
ooh
<copumpkin>
so for checking validity, it just checks if the narinfo exists?
<niksnut>
it won't work because the S3 store can't build things
<copumpkin>
and then registering is uploading the .nar.xz and the .narinfo
<copumpkin>
ah
<copumpkin>
is that somehow fundamental or just something nobody's gotten around to yet? I'm thinking of onfluence.devtools.bwce.io
