samueldr: ^ this is my current status. enough documentation for today
<
samueldr>
makefu: > the system should boot into NixOS now, the getty BAUD rate will change to 115200
<
samueldr>
does it start at 150000 and then switches during the boot at stage 2 to 115200?
<
samueldr>
it might explain my "hangs"?
<
makefu>
but this happens at the very end
<
makefu>
once it said "starting getty ttyS2"
<
samueldr>
it could very well be my issue
<
samueldr>
damn you getty
<
samueldr>
since there's no hdmi output, I couldn't see anything else than a hand :|
<
samueldr>
looks like I'm verifying this, this evening
<
makefu>
that means everything works now(tm) :D
<
samueldr>
and maybe checking how to make getty use 150000 for a smoother transition
<
makefu>
for this you will need to build your own root partition, for the articile i just reused the sd-image
<
samueldr>
eh! I already have to to make the 16MiB space in front :)
<
samueldr>
I already had to for... I can't remember why
<
samueldr>
the 16MiB I didn't care in the end since I ended up booting usb, the SD card only holds u-boot
<
makefu>
i will see how long the emmc survives with normal usage.
<
samueldr>
I hope it's better than an SD card; which means about nothig :D
<
makefu>
i will really need to get some sleep now, i am awake since 6:00 in the morning and it is 23:00 already
<
makefu>
night and thanks for all the stuff you prepared for your board

+1 samueldr
<
samueldr>
ah, false hopes, it's not a baudrate thing; it really hangs... otherwise I would have been receiving gobbledeegook
