I'd like to contribute more to the Wiki somehow, but I'm usually stuck in this loop: 1. Encounter problem 2. Vow to solve problem and to write nice article on the wiki documenting the solution 3. Scourge internet and bother people on #nixos 4. General confusion, don't find clean solution (or no solution at all), don't write the article because I didn't learn enough
<Turion>
What's a better solution to this than writing a stub containing "Look at this config by someone on the internet. Good luck."?
<samueldr>
hi!
<samueldr>
while less glamorous, looking at existing articles and verifying everything's right, working and not outdated is a kind of contribution that is often lacking in wikis
<samueldr>
but ideally, the best thing is to document *what you know*
<Turion>
Well, I'm good at grammar, presentation, spell checking etc., but I lack knowledge to decide whether the content is right
<Turion>
Is there a list of things that need checking?
<Turion>
Or does it help to go through articles and flag problems?
<samueldr>
sadly, there's no list of things that needs checking, afaik
<samueldr>
definitely!
<samueldr>
and spelling/grammar fixes are always appreciated
<samueldr>
hmmm, I'd hoped that there was a list of the "oldest edits" in mediawiki, but doesn't look like there are
<Turion>
Or at least there should be a list of all currently flagged articles, right?
