In the middle of switching my home router from a debian to nixos. Reasonably fun small-time router: 5 interfaces, dual uplink (fiber + cell backup), firewall, BGP, ipsec and wireguard VPNs
<danderson>
haven't destroyed my network yet, so that's nice :)
<gchristensen>
BGP, eh?
<flokli>
dn42 or real bgp?
<danderson>
neither, https://glanet.org . Similar idea as dn42, but smaller and less formal
<danderson>
one of my peers did get a real ASN and public IP space, so technically I get part of my internet that way... But it's mostly just a toy :)
<flokli>
still, it's nice and a lot of fun :-)
<danderson>
yup! I also play with Kubernetes, and use BGP to route load-balancer IPs for that. At least in theory, the k8s cluster is down right now.
