<nalck> If anyone feels like helping me with what I think is a very noob question I'd be grateful
<alexarice[m]> nalck: what is the question?
<nalck> I am following the instructions in the Nix manual to make an emacs.nix. Everything was going fine until I tried to add the "olivetti" package, which I know for a fact is in MELPA and have used before without issue.
<nalck> error message: undefined variable 'olivetti' at /home/nalck/.config/emacs/emacs.nix:17:6
<alexarice[m]> it is certainly there
<nalck> my emacs.nix file: https://pastebin.com/V0MdMtJ4
<alexarice[m]> it is in elpaPackages
<nalck> alexarice: interesting, thank you.
<nalck> I am surprised because I had always gotten it from MELPA before
<alexarice[m]> I don't know anything about the package but it is in `elpaPackages` and can't be found in `melpaPackages`
<nalck> I see my mistake, I wasn't using that command bur rather looking at the MELPA website. I won't make that mistake again.
<nalck> Thank you again, and if I may ask are all the NixOS IRC channels bridged to Matrix/Riot?
<alexarice[m]> I believe so, isn't everything on freenode bridged
<alexarice[m]> at least this, #nixos, #home-manager all work
<nalck> Good to know, thanks
