<etu> fasd: There shouldn't be any big issues to run the updater afaik. But if you want latest and greatest melpa/elpa/org, go for the emacs overlay in the nix-community GitHub account
<adisbladis> fasd: It is already. It's been updated a few weeks ago.
<adisbladis> fasd: I could update melpa today. Are there any special things you'd like to see?
<adisbladis> Also what etu said
<adisbladis> Updating nixpkgs too often leads to too much churn and repo growth, too seldom and we have stale packages
<adisbladis> I think it's hard to find a good balance.
<jackdk> It's almost like git isn't the right tool for all the automated updates, but since we don't want to IFD, we don't really have a good option
<fasd> adisbladis: nothing is updated for me. Is it because I'm on 19.03 instead of unstable?
<fasd> Also, I'm trying to set up the overlay but when try to follow the example I get the error atribute 'override' missing at /nix/store/........./default.nix
<adisbladis> fasd: Yes, it only works on unstable.
<fasd> OK, thanks.
