<gchristensen> dang
<gchristensen> [nix-shell:~/projects/github.com/NixOS/nixops]$ hub issue transfer 973 nix-community/nixops-libvirtd
<gchristensen> API error: New repository must have the same owner as the current repository
<DigitalKiwi> gchristensen: should i rebase my nixops-digitalocean and reupload as a new repo instead of a fork of nixops-hetzner
<gchristensen> yeah that'd be good
<DigitalKiwi> like rebase it down to only like the 3 commits i have
<DigitalKiwi> is that even possible
<gchristensen> ohdon't rebase the history away
<gchristensen> but it not being a fork on github would probably be good
<DigitalKiwi> but msot of the history is nixops-hetzner :(
<gchristensen> that is okay
<gchristensen> and fine :)
<DigitalKiwi> but bloat! :(
<gchristensen> not bloat, history
<gchristensen> it is good to keep that history
<gchristensen> shows origins, and is technically correct licensewise
<DigitalKiwi> eh well really the only parts that are kept are whatever parts were for the plugin system
<adisbladis> git blame is valuable enough to keep history
<DigitalKiwi> 471 additions and 1,771 deletions.
<adisbladis> DigitalKiwi: Keep history, if only for the satisfaction of having a net negative lines contributed ;)
<DigitalKiwi> i think the majority of things to git-blame on are deleted files lol
<gchristensen> :) that is okay, please do keep the history :)
<gchristensen> it is nice for archeology
<DigitalKiwi> but like isn't nixops-hetzner better for that
<DigitalKiwi> should update that with my improved nixos-infect...
<DigitalKiwi> https://github.com/Kiwi/nixos-infect/tree/fixes though it looks like someone did fix the debian
<DigitalKiwi> well debian 10

<gchristensen> aminechikhaoui: would you like to keep nixops-gce under your account, or would moving it to nix-community be interesting?

<aminechikhaoui> gchristensen yeah no plans to keep it under my account, I can move it to nix-community.
<gchristensen> cool
<aminechikhaoui> initially I moved the repos that I tested and gce had some problems but I think it's better to move it anyway
<gchristensen> oh cool, right
<gchristensen> can you move the repo to nixos/nixops-gce first so I can transfer some issues over, and then we'll move it to nix-community?
<aminechikhaoui> oops don't have permission to do that
<aminechikhaoui> gchristensen do you want to do it the weird way :D transfer to nix-community->NixOS then back to nix-community ?
<gchristensen> hah, sure :)
<aminechikhaoui> I assume once I move it to nix-community you can change it
<gchristensen> yeah
<gchristensen> awesome, thanks aminechikhaoui :)
<gchristensen> lol I think I busted my nixops state lol.
<gchristensen> cp /home/.zfs/snapshot/2020-04-19--150000Z/grahamc/.nixops/deployments.nixops ~/.nixops/deployments.nixops <3 <3 <3
<aminechikhaoui> one day I'll switch to zfs and be like the cool guys, ext4 is so boring :D

<DigitalKiwi> i feel like gchristensen uses the snapshots like every week
<DigitalKiwi> i've used them like two maybe three times. so still handy

<gchristensen> adisbladis: I'm a bit confused / surprised that the data objects don't get validated inside mappings... I'm looking in to a way to do that
<gchristensen> I guess this is what you were saying w.r.t. generics, but this feels like it should be a solved problem :/
