<craige> There are some precednents for hosting conferences this way: https://www.futurestates.org/ https://hiltner.english.ucsb.edu/index.php/ncnc-guide/ <- may be applicable examples.

<hexa-> too early to say how covid19 will act out, no?
<hexa-> like wait another two weeks on how things develop
<craige> Safe to think through options though, even if they're not needed Especially if the health experts are correct in there being waves of increasingly weaker mutations over the next 18 months.
<samueldr> are we behind preps-wise compared to where we should be if it wasn't for a certain pandemic?
<andi-> I also think that at least for an in-person event it is waaay too early to make the call that it might / might not happen. That being said, we have a location and a potential date if things turn out well...
<andi-> I just hesitate saying where and when since I don't want people to show up/book stuff if we don't even know if it will actually happen.
<samueldr> +
<samueldr> +1*
<samueldr> maybe an option is to get in touch with the sanitary authorities of that country in some point in the future to know what *they* think about it too
<andi-> Right now it is illegal to host events for people >100.
<samueldr> yeah, future :)
