zimbatm changed the topic of #nixcon to: NixCon 2018 is over. See you next year! https://www.youtube.com/c/NixCon/ - https://nixos2018.org
<martyet-o> zimbatm can we make few modifications with that html template? So i can contact potential sponsors :)
<martyet-o> zimbatm please reply to my mails :-)
<adisbladis> Which dates are we talking for nixcon now?
<adisbladis> 23-25 October?
<martyet-o> yes, this date
<adisbladis> martyet-o: You mind sharing which venue?
<martyet-o> if everything goes fine, it will be Industra in Brno
<adisbladis> martyet-o: Thanks :)
<zimbatm> martyet-o: I contacted a few sponsors already, need to do the rest tomorrow or monday
<zimbatm> see trello
<zimbatm> welcome back adisbladis :)

<zimbatm> not sure what's going on with github, it surely was more than 24h
<zimbatm> martyet-o: I'm not seeing any more emails
<adisbladis> zimbatm: Thanks :)
<adisbladis> In case we need stuff from china for this year I can still arrange it
<adisbladis> martyet-o: It would be great to know what we need to bring in terms of infra (electricity (power strips), HDMI, etc etc)
<martyet-o> adisbladis: you mean to bring these things from China?
<martyet-o> for now it will be fine to take care about most of classic connectors for data projector
<adisbladis> martyet-o: Yeah
<adisbladis> martyet-o: We do have a bit of stuff since last year
<martyet-o> how small bit? :)
<adisbladis> If the venue have things like power strips that would simplify things a lot
<martyet-o> sounds cool!
<samueldr> though, the definitely-sketchy power strips were awesome for the different power plugs
<martyet-o> adisbladis: have to communicate about this equipment more detailed with venue owner, but power strips are no-go i will let them take care of :)
<adisbladis> Things we have: USB HDMI capture, dp/mini-hdmi/usb-c/whatever -> hdmi
<adisbladis> samueldr: Hey, the guy in the market said they were premium ;)
<adisbladis> ^ Not really
<martyet-o> yeah! thanks for idea samueldr - it would be awesome if you adisbladis have access to power strips with different plugs from diff countries.. from last nixcon? :)
<samueldr> premium build, sketchy in the regulatory market
<samueldr> I don't have anything; wasn't involved in anything hardware-y
<adisbladis> I dont still have them.. Had nowhere to put them after last year so a bunch of ppl took them home
<adisbladis> zimbatm took a few
<adisbladis> Anyway, can get new ones
<samueldr> btw the nice thing with the strips was how basically no one needed a plug converter (as long as their PSU was 240v compatible)
<martyet-o> cool, you have just good relations with some chinese sellers, or you just know where to buy? :)
<adisbladis> martyet-o: I used to live in Hong Kong and still have family & friends there
<adisbladis> martyet-o: Last year I just crossed over to Shenzhen and got everything there
<adisbladis> This year it looks like I'll get things in Taobao unless I travel to HK before nixcon
<martyet-o> adisbladis: nice!
<martyet-o> adisbladis: can you send me your email? i will write what all will be fine to get there, and what will not be possible we will try to order it from some local shop
