<infinisil> Hey, I'm trying to figure out in what macOS versions this error occurs: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/58319#issuecomment-478136189
<infinisil> The problem seems entirely unrelated to the change, only appears on darwin, and seemingly only on certain macOS versions
<infinisil> I was able to consistently reproduce the error on my macOS el capitan (I think, I'll check again), but just now I updated to macOS mojave, and there it built without problems
<infinisil> Because I can't download older macOS versions, could some mac users in here with different macOS versions try this for me?
<infinisil> Specifically this command please: hnix-build https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/tarball/f93029301419ca11355a2201c9e64a64247f8eed -A idrisPackages.contrib
<infinisil> s/hnix-build/nix-build
<gchristensen> infinisil: they seem to run 10.13.6
<gchristensen> it'd be nice to get those running a newer OS, but I'm not looking forward to thta
<LnL> that's not super old, keeping the infrastructure on an older version is actually beneficial for compatibility I think
<infinisil> gchristensen: You mean hydra's mac builders?
<LnL> as for the error, not impossible, but I don't really see how something like that could be related to the os version
<infinisil> Indeed.. it's super weird
<LnL> the error itself is pretty bizarre
<gchristensen> hydra's and my ofborg builder all run 10.13.6
<infinisil> I see
<infinisil> As I mentioned in the issue, there was one time where one ofborg builder was able to build it (<https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/58319/checks?check_run_id=87621971>), so that one might have been running mojave
