<jD91mZM2> Hello! My project is trying to build GHC... I'm using the simplest of all default.nix:es, I just took the example one: https://gist.github.com/jD91mZM2/35fa3f82319f9fc18441af0647ff3d74. My project is using stackage lts-16.17 so it should use ghc 8.8.4 (which it is), but for some reason it doesn't want to use the cache. I'm fairly certain I set up cachix correctly, I think I've seen it use the
<jD91mZM2> cache for other stuff
<__monty__> jD91mZM2: Have you tried adding the iohk hydra cache?
<__monty__> There's still issues with Hercules (which populates the cachix) afaik.
<jD91mZM2> __monty__: Oh, I didn't know there was one! I'll try that later, thanks!
<__monty__> jD91mZM2: Yeah, that's step one for caching issues ; )
<jD91mZM2> That solved it, I think. Huge thanks __monty__!
<__monty__> \o/
