qyliss changed the topic of #spectrum to: A compartmentalized operating system | https://spectrum-os.org/ | Logs: https://logs.spectrum-os.org/spectrum/
<qyliss> I know this is not the first time I've felt this way, but things are looking good for the patch series that implements inter-guest networking in Spectrum being posted tomorrow.
<qyliss> Cover letter is all written and everything. Just want to sleep on it to make sure I didn't miss anything out -- hopefully I won't come back tomorrow with too much extra stuff to do.
<qyliss> The only thing I'm really waiting for now is a review on https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/119093, and even that's a nice-to-have (I'd just like to be able to refer to its commit hash in Nixpkgs in another commit message).
<qyliss> whoops I messed that URL up

<qyliss> leah2: do you know of anything that says authoratatively that multiple entries in /etc/hosts for the same IP are invalid?
<JJJollyjim> linux’s hosts(5) says “For each host a single line should be present with the following information” (and that you can have 2 for dual-stack hosts)
<JJJollyjim> but it’s definitely not explicit that you mustn’t have more
<JJJollyjim> (i’m certainly surprised to hear it)
<qyliss> mmm
<qyliss> I've had good luck getting patches into man-pages so maybe I'll just submit some stronger language and see what the reaction is
<qyliss> the risk there, of course, is that I end up being wrong and nobody notices :P
<leah2> well look at the libc implementations i guess
<qyliss> I try to avoid looking at libc implementations for things :D

<qyliss> ahhhhh that's a good feeling
<qyliss> posted the interguest networking series
<qyliss> heh, it's fun watching all the patches appear in public-inbox one at a time
<pie_> (IdleBot_d6dff8fb: ) so how does one get a runnable systemd service out of a config again?
<MichaelRaskin> Maybe download my use-from-nixos.nix and see?
<pie_> cool Ill check that out
