<eyJhb> hexa-: is your router config public as well? Currently looking at andi- setup
<eyJhb> *just want to see multiple configs, for inspiration

<eyJhb> I am currently getting a static IPv6 from my ISP. But the provided IPv6 they should be giving me versus the one I am getting does not align. Not sure if I just don't know enough about IPv6 to understand. But ie. 1b00:4004:3536::/48, but I am getting something like 1b00:4000:42:0:ec4:7aff:feac:7792, which from my perspective does not match well. I would expect the first three parts to
<eyJhb> match the first three parts of the IPv6 prefix I have gotten.
<eyJhb> x-post from ##networking, if anyone have the time to help. The IP is somewhat masked, the first prefix is changed, and the last part is changed slightly

<andi-> eyJhb: that might be an IA_NA and not an IA_PD lease that you are looking at?
<eyJhb> andi-: I might not be requesting the IPv6/48 correctly, that is at least what my ISP told me. So I have to test later and see what I can get :p
<andi-> eyJhb: if you capture the DHCPv6 traffic I am happy to have a look at what is going on
<eyJhb> So I might be switching to systemd networkd stuff
<eyJhb> ANd then looking at your config as well andi- :)
<eyJhb> I will keep that in mind andi- ! Hopefully it will work after a better setup. :p
<andi-> eyJhb: just in case you run into trouble there is an (always?) up to date version of the example from the post in nixpkgs as part of the test suite: https://github.com/andir/nixpkgs/blob/master/nixos/tests/systemd-networkd-ipv6-prefix-delegation.nix
<eyJhb> andi-: Is it your website?
aranea is now known as mewra
<andi-> eyJhb: yes, that blog post linked above is mine
<eyJhb> You are everywhere andi- ! :D
<eyJhb> andi-: Do you enjoy networkd ?
<eyJhb> It seems really cool from what I have read, and the blog post you made have really just made it look so simple and nice.
<andi-> eyJhb: it is once you wrapped your head around it and if it provides all the features you need.
<andi-> When previosuly you could add just another shell script that isn't as easy anymore now.
