they 'officially' have supported it for far longer, provided that the only thing you wanted was to tie a v6 address to an ELB. but yeah, v6 in vpcs is somewhat 'recent'

it is ticking a box. it will auto allocate v6 ranges for you if you aren't particular

i can't in good conscience complain really. it's not exposed at work... but hrm. i just turned on some new staging envs, maybe i'll add v6 and see if the backend complains.
