gchristensen: just saw your tweet about the IPv6 status.. I think you got the detail about nothing returning wrong. As I tried to explain yesterday I can reach addresses from the /56 from where I am. So it just doesn't go out to your local network as far as I can tell.

andi-:eh ....
<gchristensen>
I very clearly don't knowwhat I'm doing well enough to be doing it
<andi->
If you are up for it we can give it another try one of the coming days... I can not be that hard..
<cransom>
that describes my day to day quite accurately.
<gchristensen>
haha cransom I really like to skate that line
<gchristensen>
andi-: I would like that :)
<andi->
It is just stupid networking..
<andi->
humans managed to land on the moon.. we should be able to get that working..
<gchristensen>
haha
<gchristensen>
I do want IPv6 to work, for sure
<gchristensen>
(though I am a bit miffed that wireguard doesn't support 2 endpoints for a single public key, since the public key is its identity it seems it should be fine
<andi->
Ha, I am running 2 wireguard interfaces per remote for that reason... one uses v4 the other v6. I use babeld ontop of that to negotiate with paths to take and where which prefixes are reachable..
<andi->
It isn't great..
<gchristensen>
wait ... what?
<gchristensen>
nice
<andi->
I still suffer from the no-wireguard-after-booup issue...
<gchristensen>
oh yeah I need to fix that before any of my macs reboot
<cransom>
huh. TIL about frr. someone decided quagga needed a successor.
<andi->
yeah, FRR looked nice a few years ago.
<andi->
I wanted to try something... VXLAN EVPN? Can't remember.
<andi->
I will do the nixos-on-my-router migration this weekend.. I have this spare APU sitting on the desk ever since pre-18.09... Will put it to good use.
<gchristensen>
:o so many days ungraced by NixOS on the APU
