bqv: FYI, regarding GnuPG key passphrases. I've just now managed to set up emacs-pinentry (not sure what I've been doing wrong all the time)

It actually works reasonably well in my setup, meaning that other EXWM/vterm apps immediately throw me into the minibuffer prompt, and calling EXWM in emacs, aborting with C-g and then entering the passphrase unlocks my smartcard

Still in no way perfect, but much less painful compared to the pinentry-{tty,gtk2} flavors

Ha, neato. I think mine's probably even more broken now, since I migrated to wayland, but I disabled the password cause I don't really need it tbh
