https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/32282 could anyone provide any input on this nixUnstable bump? The issue has bitten a number of nixUnstable users already and while there's a simple workaround it's still pretty concerning when you don't know about it and suddenly nix-env and nixos-rebuild just don't work anymore
<LnL>
it's only quite sure it's only user profiles that don't work
<LnL>
nixos-rebuild doesn't use that

LnL: oh so there's a separate bug that's breaking nixos-rebuild?
<LnL>
dunno, I've been using master with some patches for a while and never had any issues
<LnL>
except for nix-env, but I almost never use that directly
<sphalerite>
LnL: it's only when you have a package with propagated user env packages, where the file isn't terminated by a newline

LnL: try for instance putting zeal in your systemPackages or user profile, and you will probably encounter the issue
<LnL>
I rebased since then, but let me check
<LnL>
works fine
<LnL>
only stuff that uses $nix/libexec/nix/buildenv have problems
<gchristensen>
what is a good license for the nix pills?
<gchristensen>
I was sort of thinking GNU FDL or CC-SA-4.0

I vote CC-SA-4.0 mainly because of this reason: but if someone is printing off a GFDL document, they are legally obliged to include a license printout which may be as long as the document which is pointed out here: https://wiki.creativecommons.org/wiki/GFDL_versus_CC-by-sa
<contrapumpkin>
CC-SA sounds good to me too
<contrapumpkin>
that's what I was suggesting originally
<contrapumpkin>
not that I'm an expert in licensing :)

Is contrapumpkin copumpkin alternate identity?
