<samueldr> -snapshot
<samueldr> Write to temporary files instead of disk image files. In this case, the raw disk image you use is not written back. You can however force the write back by pressing C-a s.
<Dezgeg> what do you plan to do?
<samueldr> not sure yet, depends what's the roadblock for the evening
<samueldr> but mostly looking into automating stuff with the fruity OS
<samueldr> but that snapshot parameter really makes me think to try harder if I hit a bump
<gchristensen> uhhh hi there
<Dezgeg> I see you have been reading the nixos GUI tests
<samueldr> this currently 1) boots the highsierra iso 2) waits an arbitrary time 3) shuts it down
<samueldr> though, I'm looking into using screenshots instead of waiting for long arbitrary waits (and hope for smaller waits)
<samueldr> I just realized I basically made this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Useless_machine

<infinisil> Suggestion for builds: When a platform is unsupported, build it anyways (and indicate this in the comment)
<infinisil> Would help to improve platform coverage
<gchristensen> hrm
<gchristensen> that is cool
<gchristensen> open a ticket?
<infinisil> ofborg#226
<{^_^}> https://github.com/NixOS/ofborg/issues/226 (by Infinisil, 21 seconds ago, open): Run unsupported platforms anyways, to hopefully improve platform coverage
<gchristensen> great
<gchristensen> that does tie up our more constrained darwin builders more, but hopefully we can fix that and the permission problems at the same time.
<samueldr> hmm, somehow the macOS installer will write the language to the nvram of the VM, making me lose my mind
