I bought a nanopi m4 the other day, nix is running fine on it :D
<sphalerite>
todo: nixos
<makefu>
sphalerite: would you mind adding the device specifics to https://nixos.wiki/wiki/NixOS_on_ARM ? It seems to be the to-go list at least for some people if they are looking for a new SBC which runs ARM
<sphalerite>
makefu: there weren't any special things to do, just a regular nix install, so I don't think that's worth mentioning. Will definitely document it if I get nixos running on it though
<makefu>
ah, only running nix :) i was hoping for NixOS
<sphalerite>
as I wrote, that's on my todo list :)
<sphalerite>
I want to set it up as a backup server since it can do SATA
<makefu>
i am also still looking for an arm board (aarch64) with SATA

makefu: the nanopi m4 seems nice so far, main disadvantage is the long shipping time (took about 2 weeks)
<makefu>
2 weeks is something i can cope with no problem. i buy shit at aliexpress, shipping time there is 4-8 weeks. It is like receiving packages for christmas when they arrive
<sphalerite>
:D
<sphalerite>
yes
<sphalerite>
and none of the accessories are included in the price
