DigitalKiwi: here is a small poc repo for which the nix-shell makes both an older custom pre-2.0 nixops available (nixops) and nixops 2.0 available (nixops2)

It's missing nixops-packet too. Still have to get it compatible. It was working about a few weeks before the tag to 2.0, but one of the last few nixops commits prior to tagging broke something in it.

we've been making nixops-digitalocean work off of nixops master so it should work

Nice... There should be an easy way to incorporate custom 2.0 plugins not in the pre-defined ps: list into that poc code, so you can add your DO plugin and I can add the packet plugin.
